2020 Energy Summit Details

For the past six years and counting, the Montgomery County Energy Summit has annually offered cutting-edge education focused on the latest trends in commercial energy efficiency, renewable energy, and related issues in Montgomery County. Our core audience includes building owners, property managers, energy contractors, and other green building professionals working in the County and the larger DMV area.

The theme for this year’s Summit is “A Path to Zero.” We will explore strategies, technologies, and case studies focused on the commercial, multi-family, and residential built environment that are moving the needle towards achieving the County’s ambitious climate goal of carbon neutrality by 2035.

The Energy Summit includes in-depth workshops on innovative energy projects, renewable energy technologies, sustainable building strategies and County and other regional commercial energy efficiency programs. Information on specific sessions is available on the Energy Summit website.

Following Day 1 of Energy Summit, we will host a networking reception, which is included with registration to the Energy Summit.

New for 2020: Information for Residents

New this year, we’re adding a second, full day to the Energy Summit to focus on single-family and multi-family education topics on Thursday, April 2nd. Daytime education sessions will require a ticket. Starting at 4 pm on Thursday, April 2nd, the Energy Summit will be open to the public for a super-sized Energy Roadshow in the Silver Spring Civic Building’s Great Hall.

The Energy Roadshow is your one stop event for all things energy related in the County, including home comfort, avoiding scams, ENERGY STAR devices, electric vehicles, renewable energy, and how to pay for home upgrade projects.  It is an open house setting and residents will be encouraged to come and go as they please.
