Attend a March 10 Stakeholder Meeting on Montgomery County's Adoption of the 2018 IgCC

Montgomery County is planning to adopt the 2018 International Green Construction Code (IgCC). The IgCC is an important tool in the toolbox of solutions to combat the climate emergency. The County plans to ramp up the energy performance of new buildings covered under the IgCC with each code cycle, with a goal of reaching net zero energy buildings by 2030. The County is convening a stakeholder meeting to receive feedback on the amendments being considered for adoption. During the stakeholder meeting, County staff will provide an overview of each IgCC chapter and will solicit input from participants. To facilitate discussion and gathering of input, the stakeholder meeting is taking place prior to the IgCC being posted in the register for official comment (scheduled for Spring 2020).

The stakeholder meeting will take place on Tuesday March 10th, 3:00pm to 5:00pm, at the Executive Office Building Auditorium (101 Monroe Street, Rockville).
